Auto repair services

The repairs that keep cars, trucks and SUVs moving. Here's what each job involves and the signs that it's time to call.

Brake master cylinder and fluid reservoir in a Ram pickup engine bay

Brakes

Pads, rotors, calipers, lines and fluid. We check the whole system, not just the part that's making noise, so you know exactly where your brakes stand.

Signs it's time

  • Squealing or grinding when you stop
  • A soft or sinking brake pedal
  • Vibration in the wheel or pedal while braking
  • The vehicle pulls to one side

Oil changes

The right oil and a new filter for your engine. While we're under there, we look for leaks and worn parts so small issues get caught early.

Signs it's time

  • Your oil change reminder is on
  • Oil on the dipstick is dark, gritty or low
  • You're past the mileage on your last sticker

Valve cover gaskets

Gaskets harden and crack with heat over time. Once they leak, oil can drip onto hot exhaust parts or into the spark plug wells. We replace the gasket and clean up the sealing surfaces so the new one holds.

Signs it's time

  • Burning oil smell after driving
  • Oil residue around the top of the engine
  • Misfires from oil in the spark plug tubes

Radiators

An overheating engine can do real damage fast. We find where the cooling system is failing, whether it's the radiator, water pump or thermostat, and fix it before it costs you an engine.

Signs it's time

  • Temperature gauge climbing
  • Coolant puddles or a sweet smell
  • Steam from under the hood
  • You keep topping off coolant

Hoses

Radiator, heater and bypass hoses break down from the inside out. A hose that looks fine can still fail on the highway. We check them by feel and condition and replace the ones that are done.

Signs it's time

  • Cracks, bulges or soft spots
  • Coolant drips at hose connections
  • No heat inside the cab

Wheel bearings

A failing bearing starts as a hum and ends with a wheel that wobbles. We confirm which corner it's coming from and replace the bearing or hub assembly.

Signs it's time

  • Humming or growling that rises with speed
  • Noise that changes when you turn
  • Play or looseness in the wheel

Ball joints

Ball joints connect your wheels to the suspension. Worn ones affect steering and tire wear, and a failed joint can drop a wheel. We inspect the front end and replace what's loose.

Signs it's time

  • Clunking over bumps or potholes
  • Wandering or loose steering
  • Uneven wear on the front tires
